The RAM-GDS-FAN1U converts a GDS® Tough-Dock™ into a GDS® Cool-Dock™, adding a 12VDC axial cooling fan to help keep a docked tablet cool during normal operation. It's designed specifically for the Tough-Dock™ and Cool-Dock™ vehicle docks and wires in with a 2.2m cable and SAE quick-disconnect plugs.

How does the fan get power? It turns on automatically once the hardwire cable is connected to a power source via the SAE quick-disconnect plugs.

Which way does it install? The spec decal should face toward the tablet — that is, visible from the inside of the dock.
