All RAM Double Socket Arms have the same principle – two socket ends and an adjustment knob to allow you to tighten the system up once you have your device in the perfect position. Easy to assemble, easy to re-position.

The RAM-B-201U-A (“B” series short arm) does not come with a pin spring, in all others the pin spring makes it easy to fit the arm onto the chosen base.

RAM manufacture some parts in either marine grade aluminium alloy or composite plastic. Arms with a “RAM” prefix come in powder coated marine grade alloy with stainless hardware in all ball sizes and lengths. B and C sized arms are also available in high strength composite – they have a “RAP” prefix. Several B sized arms are also available in Chrome Plated finish for extra bling when it counts – those parts end with “CHU”.

The Pin-Lock accessory enables the adjustment knob to be replaced with a Pin-Lock – so that the unit cannot be adjusted (or the cradle removed) without the lock being inserted. Combine that with a locking cradle and the device is secure in position. Ideal for vehicle use or even in a warehouse where a tablet is positioned in an area to which the public has access.

So, what are these B, C, D & E sizes? The RAM system is modular and allows you to choose different components to suit specific applications. Select a ball size from the selection below, then an appropriate length.

A sized arms take a 0.56" rubber ball (not a stock item, however we can supply these as special order)

We stock the following sizes:

B size - 1" ball - for units up to 0.907kg
C size - 1.5" ball - for units up to 1.81kg
D size - 2.25" ball - for units up to 2.72kg

E size 3.38" ball mount for units up to 6.8kg

Swing Arms – designed for those situations where you want the device to be easily moved out of the way when not in use. Ideal for marine electronics (depth sounders, chart plotters and fish finders). These can be single or multiple arms added together to provide the maximum range of motion.

Swivel – the double socket arms with swivel allow for the device to be rotated without loosening the adjustment knob in a standard double socket arm

RAM Pipe – too much distance between the mounting position and the ideal location of the device – a RAM Pipe is a straight pipe to put some distance (14” or 18”) between the base and the cradle.

Flex-Rod – pretty much as the name suggests – the rod can be bent to provide the perfect location for the device. Ideal when a straight RAM Pipe won’t get the positioning correct.
