The RAM-B-230U double ball joiner consists of a 1" rubber ball on both ends that allow the connection of two 1" socket arms. Join a short arm to a long arm, twom medium arms or .. up to you. This component is ideal if your chosen mount arm is just too short or you need to have further adjustment in the set-up.
When measured from ball centre to ball centre the arm length is 44.5mm (1.75".)

A: No, anytime you make a mount longer or add more adjustment points you will sacrifice some stability. By adding this type of extension, you are increasing the chance that you will see movement such as shaking or vibration in the mount.
