The RAM-B-337U is a 1" B-size RAM® ball with a 1/4"-20 female threaded hex post, giving you two ways to add a ball mounting point: thread it onto any standard camera tripod bolt, or use it as an Add-A-Ball™ accessory to put a second ball on the side of an existing RAM® B-size arm.

How is this different from other RAM ball adapters?
This one has a female 1/4"-20 thread and hex post, so it screws onto an existing bolt or stud rather than having its own male stud.

Can I use it to add a second ball to my arm?
Yes — replace the tightening bolt on a B-size RAM arm with a 40mm 1/4"-20 machine screw and this ball, and you have an Add-A-Ball™ mounting point on the side of the arm.
