The RAM-GDS-DOCKB-AP37U is the bare shell at the centre of every AP37 Tough-Dock. It is the moulded body that cradles an IntelliSkin® Next Gen-wrapped iPad, supplied on its own with no latch, no dock cup and no electronics. Buy it when you are building a dock to your own specification, or replacing a cracked body and keeping the working parts off the old one.

Works With

Apple iPad Pro 12.9" (3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Gen), iPad Pro 13 and iPad Air 13, each wrapped in the matching IntelliSkin® Next Gen sleeve. To make a working dock you also need a top latch (RAM-GDS-DOCKH2U non-locking or RAM-GDS-DOCKLH2U locking) and a bottom dock cup (RAM-GDS-DOCK-V10PU for power only, or RAM-GDS-DOCK-V10PD2U for power plus dual USB-A). A RAM-GDS-FAN1U can be added for a Cool-Dock™ build. If you would rather buy the dock complete, start with the RAM-GDS-DOCK-AP37CPU.

FAQs

What is actually in the box?

The body shell, a dock ramp clamp and five screws. No latch, no dock cup, no fan, no mounting ball. Everything that makes the dock hold and charge a tablet is bought separately.

Is buying the parts cheaper than buying a complete dock?

Usually not. RAM price the complete docks competitively against the sum of their parts, so the body is mainly worth buying for repairs, or when you want a combination RAM don't sell as a finished dock.

Will it fit an iPad without an IntelliSkin?

No. The body is moulded around the IntelliSkin® Next Gen sleeve, not around the bare tablet. The sleeve is required and is sold separately.
