The RAM-GDS-SKIN-AP47-NG is the IntelliSkin® Next Gen protective sleeve for Apple's large-format iPads: the iPad Pro 13 (M4 and M5), iPad Air 13 (M2 and M3) and iPad Pro 12.9 (3rd to 6th Gen). It is the sleeve every AP37 GDS® Tough-Dock™ needs; the dock charges through the ruggedised pogo pads moulded into the bottom of the skin, so the iPad's own USB-C port never gets plugged and unplugged in the vehicle. It replaces the discontinued RAM-GDS-SKIN-AP37-NG and covers every tablet that sleeve did, plus the newer 13" models.

Pair it with any AP37 Tough-Dock: the RAM-GDS-DOCK-AP37CPU standard dock, the RAM-GDS-DOCK-AP37CU USB 3.1 dock, the RAM-GDS-DOCK-AP37CD2U dual-peripheral dock, the locking RAM-GDS-DOCKL-AP37CPU, the locking dual-peripheral RAM-GDS-DOCKL-AP37CD2U or the fan-cooled RAM-GDS-DOCKLF-AP37CPU Cool-Dock. For the 11" iPads use the RAM-GDS-SKIN-AP32-NG instead.

FAQs

Do I need this to use an AP37 Tough-Dock?

Yes. The dock has no cable that plugs into the iPad; it charges through the pogo pads on this sleeve. No sleeve, no charge.

I have the old AP37-NG sleeve, is this the same thing?

Functionally yes. RAM have discontinued the AP37-NG and this AP47-NG is its replacement, fitting the same 12.9" iPads plus the 13" Pro and Air.

Can I charge the iPad away from the vehicle?

Yes. Pop the cap off the USB-C port on the bottom of the sleeve and plug in as normal.

Will it fit the Thin-Case Uni-Conn docks?

No. Uni-Conn docks take the IntelliSkin Thin-Case; this Next Gen sleeve is for the Tough-Dock and the desktop docks built for the D-shape connector.

When will my order ship?
