Q: Do I need to use the plastic shim that is provided while installing this part?
A: No, the plastic shim is just there in case your handlebar is too narrow for the U-Bolt without it. If the U-Bolt will fit without the shim there is no reason to use that part.
Q: What size screws are needed for the holes on this ball plate?
A: The most common screw sizes are #8, #10, M4 and M5 screws. However, if you are pairing this with any RAM® Holder, the holder will come with the necessary hardware to connect to your mount.
