The RAM-231Z-2U is a rail and bar base for ATVs and UTVs with a C size 1.5" rubber ball, supplied with both U-bolt and concealed strap clamp fittings to cover bar diameters from 12.7mm right up to 80mm.

Which fitting should I use?

Use the U-bolt for bars up to 31.75mm (1.25"), and the concealed strap clamp for larger tubing from 39.88mm to 80mm (1.57"–3.15"), such as roll cages.
