RAM-B-189BU – RAM® Twist-Lock™ Dual Suction Cup Base with AMPS Plate

The RAM-B-189BU is a dual 84mm Twist-Lock™ suction cup base with an AMPS-pattern plate adaptor and no ball hardware, letting you fit the RAM® round base of your choice. Two cups give twice the grip of a single suction base on windscreens, glass and other non-porous surfaces.

Works With

Any RAM® base with the universal AMPS pattern; typically the RAM-B-202U (1" ball) or RAM-202U (1.5" ball; the better choice for high-vibration environments), then arms such as the RAM-B-101U and RAM-B-103U, or C and D size bases (RAM-101U, RAM-D-101U). The fixed plate holds both cups in the same plane, so it seats best on flat or gently curved glass. For a strongly curved windscreen or canopy, the RAM-B-189B-PIV1U articulating base lets each cup angle independently.

Care & Warranty

• Smooth, non-porous surfaces only; anything rough or textured lets air past the seal and the cups will not hold.
• Clean the surface thoroughly before you apply the cups.
• If the vehicle is left sitting in extreme heat or cold, release the cups and stow the base rather than leaving it loaded.
• RAM® classes suction cups as a general wear item, so the cups are excluded from warranty cover. The base and plate hardware are covered as normal.

FAQs

Does this come with a ball?

No; this is the suction base and AMPS plate only. Add the RAM® round ball base of your size choice (B, C or D) to build your mount.

Will it hold on a curved windscreen?

The plate is fixed, so both cups sit in the same plane, best on flat or gently curved glass. For a strongly curved windscreen, the RAM-B-189B-PIV1U articulating base is the better choice.

Are the suction cups covered by the warranty?

No. RAM® treat suction cups as a general wear item, so they sit outside the lifetime warranty. The base and plate hardware are covered as normal.

When will my order ship?
