The RAM-400-B-UN8U is a complete C-size mount pairing the RAM® X-Grip® universal cradle for 7-8" tablets with a small Tough-Claw™ clamp base via a short RAM® double socket arm. Built around RAM's 1.5" C-size ball-and-socket system, the Tough-Claw™ clamps tool-free to round, square, or odd-shaped rails and bars, while the short arm keeps the tablet close to the mounting point with near-infinite angle adjustment.

FAQs
Is this a complete mount? Yes. The Tough-Claw base, short C-size arm and X-Grip tablet cradle are all included — there's nothing else to buy to get your tablet onto the bar.
Will the Tough-Claw fit my handlebar? It clamps tool-free to round, square and odd-shaped bars from 15.9mm to 29mm outer diameter, and to flat surfaces up to 29mm thick. Most motorcycle and bicycle bars, kayak rails and roll bars sit inside that range — measure yours before ordering.
Will my tablet fit with a case on? Measure the width of your tablet with the case, sleeve or skin fitted. The cradle opens from 63.5mm to 146mm wide and takes devices up to 22.2mm thick.
Is the tether included? Yes. We'd recommend fitting it for motorcycle, off-road, marine and any other high-vibration use — it's cheap insurance if the tablet is ever knocked loose.
What does the C size mean, and should I choose it? C size refers to RAM's 1.5" ball, which is larger and stiffer than the common 1" B size and better suited to holding a tablet steady over rough ground. C-size and B-size parts are not interchangeable, so pick the size that matches any RAM gear you already own. If you want the 1" B-size equivalent, see the RAM-B-400-C-UN8U kit.
Is the short arm the right choice? The 90mm arm holds the tablet close to the mounting point, which keeps the setup compact and rigid. If you need to push the tablet clear of controls or instruments, choose a long-arm version of this kit instead.
