The RAM-B-166-C-UN7U pairs the RAM® X-Grip® universal phone cradle with a RAM® Twist-Lock™ suction cup base and a long 152mm double socket arm. The extra reach puts your phone front and centre, making it ideal for utes and larger vehicles with deeper dashboards. The twist-lock base grips glass and smooth, non-porous surfaces, including RAM adhesive disks.

FAQs

Is this a complete mount? Yes. The suction base, long arm and X-Grip phone cradle are all included — there's nothing else to buy to get your phone onto the glass.

What surfaces will the cup stick to? Glass and other smooth, non-porous surfaces. Textured dashboards, matte plastic and any surface with a grain won't hold — clean both the cup and the surface before mounting. A RAM® adhesive disk gives the cup a smooth face to grip on an otherwise unsuitable surface.

Will my phone fit with a case on? Measure the width of your phone with the case fitted. The cradle opens from 47.6mm to 82.6mm wide and takes devices up to 22.2mm thick, which covers most phones in a standard case. Thick rugged cases and battery cases are the usual exception.

Is the tether included? Yes. We'd recommend fitting it for off-road, marine and any other high-vibration use — it's cheap insurance if the phone is ever knocked loose.

Is the long arm the right choice? The 152mm arm is for deep dashboards and raked windscreens where a shorter arm leaves the phone out of comfortable reach. Bear in mind that the extra length puts more leverage on the suction cup, so make sure both faces are clean and the collar is fully locked before driving. The same kit is also available with a short 60.5mm arm or a medium 94mm arm.
