The receiver box gets power automatically when you connect the 4 pin mic plug into any Ready2Talk PA system, so no additional batteries are required. Just turn on the headset and it syncs to the receiver box within 2-3 seconds and you can trigger the music muting remotely just by turning on/off the headset power. The headset comes with extra mic foam covers too.
