RAM-GDS-CHARGE-V8CU is a GDS® modular hardwire charger that steps 30-64V DC vehicle power down to 5.42-9V DC and finishes in a USB Type-C male plug, so you can run a GDS® dock or any USB Type-C device straight off a forklift, electric pallet truck or similar high-voltage system.

Works With

Any GDS® dock or USB Type-C device drawing 2.5A or less at 5.42-9V. This charger does not support USB Power Delivery, so devices that rely on PD negotiation will charge at standard USB rates only. If your machine runs 8-40V, the RAM-GDS-CHARGE-V5U is the Micro-B USB equivalent. The rest of the range sits in Chargers and Docks and GDS Tech.

Does it support USB Power Delivery? No. It delivers up to 9V over USB Type-C without PD negotiation. If you need PD, get in touch and we can bring in the Power Delivery version (RAM-GDS-CHARGE-V3CH-2U).

What sort of vehicle is a 30-64V input for? Electric forklifts, pallet trucks, sweepers, golf carts and similar 36V and 48V systems. For a standard 12V or 24V vehicle, use the 8-40V version instead.
