RAM-B-463-GU RAM® Gim-Ball™ Fishfinder Gimbal Base Adapter

The RAM-B-463-GU turns the gimbal bracket already holding your fishfinder into a second mounting point. One of the gimbal knobs comes out, the Gim-Ball goes in, and you have a 25.4mm (1") B-size ball sitting alongside the unit for a phone, action camera, handheld GPS or VHF. Nothing gets drilled, and six threaded stud adapters are included so it fits the gimbal brackets used by the major GPS, chartplotter, fishfinder and VHF brands.

FAQs

Will it fit my fishfinder?
It fits the gimbal bracket rather than the unit itself, so what matters is the thread on your gimbal knob. Six stud adapters are supplied, covering #10-24, 5/16"-18, 1/4"-20, M5, M6 and M8. Between them they cover the brackets supplied with most GPS, chartplotter, fishfinder and VHF units.

Does my fishfinder still tilt?
Yes. The Gim-Ball replaces one gimbal knob and clamps in its place, so the bracket keeps working as it did.

What can I hang off it?
Anything within the B-size ball's 907g (2 lb) standard-use limit: a phone, an action camera, a handheld GPS or a VHF. Add a B-size arm and the matching holder.
