RAM-GDS-CHARGE-V14U is a GDS® modular hardwire charger that takes 10-28V DC from a vehicle's electrical system and delivers a regulated 16V DC at up to 3.5A through a 5.5mm barrel plug, for RAM® and GDS® DC powered docks that call for a 16V input.

Works With

RAM® and GDS® docks that specify a 16V DC input on a 5.5mm barrel. Note that the input range on this one stops at 28V rather than the 32V used elsewhere in the family, so it is worth confirming your vehicle sits inside it. If the machine is an electric forklift or similar higher-voltage equipment, the same 16V output is available as RAM-GDS-CHARGE-V15U, which takes 28-60V. FAQs

Why does this one stop at 28V when others go to 32V? It is simply how RAM has specified this model. A 24V vehicle sits comfortably inside 10-28V, but if your system runs higher, choose the 28-60V version instead.

Will it charge a tablet directly? No. It outputs 16V on a barrel plug for a powered dock, not USB. If your device charges over USB, you want one of the USB-C or USB-A chargers instead.
