The Sena Tufftalk Lite2 (over-the-head version) is a Bluetooth communication earmuff for noisy work sites, pairing 21dB of hearing protection with a four-way intercom that reaches 800m and runs for 13 hours. Workers talk hands-free, take calls and listen to music or FM radio without lifting a muff. It is the current-generation Tufftalk Lite and replaces the discontinued TUFFTALK-LITE-01.

The same headset is available as the Tufftalk Lite2 hard hat mount version (TUFFTALK-LITE2-02) for crews already in hard hats. If you need longer intercom reach, swappable batteries or ambient mode, step up to the Sena Tufftalk (TUFFTALK-01), which runs to 1.4km with the optional long antenna and offers 24dB attenuation.

Care & Warranty

Sena covers the Tufftalk Lite2 with a two-year manufacturer warranty from the date of purchase. Ear pads, ear pad foams and microphone sponges are wear items and are not covered; get in touch and we can sort replacements for you. Wipe the cups and headband down with a damp cloth rather than solvents, keep the USB-C port clear of site dust, and top the battery up every few months if the headset is going into storage.

FAQs

How is the Lite2 different from the original Tufftalk Lite? The Lite2 is the current production version. The over-the-head model keeps the same 21dB Noise Reduction Rating as the outgoing Lite; the gain is on the hard hat mount variant, which moves from 20dB to 22dB. The core electronics are unchanged: Bluetooth 4.1, four-way intercom to 800m, 13 hour talk time, HD speakers and built-in FM radio.

Do I need a hard hat to use it? No. This is the headband version and is worn on its own. If your crew wears hard hats, order the hard hat mount version instead.

Is this a Mesh headset? No. The Tufftalk Lite2 uses Bluetooth intercom rather than Sena Mesh, and there is no ambient mode or active noise cancellation. Get in touch if you need Mesh for a larger or more mobile crew and we will point you at the right unit.

Can I swap the battery on a long shift? No. The 750mAh battery is built in and is not user-replaceable, and the Lite2 does not take AAA cells. You can keep working while it charges over USB-C, and a full charge takes 2.5 hours for 13 hours of talk time. If your crews need hot-swappable power, look at the original Tufftalk instead.
