RAM-GDS-CHARGE-V10U is a GDS® modular hardwire charger that takes 10-32V DC from a vehicle's electrical system and delivers a regulated 12V DC at up to 3.5A through a standard 5.5mm barrel plug, ready for any RAM® or GDS® DC powered dock that calls for a 12V input.

Any RAM® or GDS® dock that specifies a 12V DC input on a standard 5.5mm barrel.

Watch the barrel size on this one. RAM makes a large-barrel version at the same 10-32V input and 12V output, RAM-GDS-CHARGE-V10-1U. The voltages read identically, so ordering on voltage alone will get you the wrong plug. Confirm which barrel your dock takes first.

FAQs

What is the difference between this and the V10-1U? Input and output voltages are identical; the barrel plug is physically larger on the V10-1U. Match the plug to your dock, not the voltage.

Will it charge a tablet directly? No. It outputs 12V on a barrel plug for a powered dock, not USB. If your device charges over USB, you want one of the USB-C or USB-A chargers instead.
