The RAM-GDS-SKIN-AP32-NG is the IntelliSkin® Next Gen protective sleeve for Apple's 11" iPads: the iPad Pro 11 (1st to 4th Gen), iPad Air 4 and 5, and iPad Air 11 (M2, M3 and M4). It is the sleeve every AP32 GDS® Tough-Dock™ needs; the dock charges through the ruggedised pogo pads moulded into the bottom of the skin, so the iPad's own USB-C port never gets plugged and unplugged in the vehicle. Fit an iPad, drop it into the dock, and it charges and syncs every time without anyone touching a cable.

Works With

Apple iPad Pro 11 (1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Gen), iPad Air 4 and 5, and iPad Air 11 (M2, M3, M4). Pair it with the RAM-GDS-DOCK-AP32CPU GDS® Tough-Dock™, and add the RAM-GDS-HS1U Hand-Stand™ if the iPad spends time out of the vehicle. To use it in a GDS® Uni-Conn™ dock you also need the RAM-GDS-U1AU adjustable adapter. Need a work light on the back? The RAM-GDS-SKIN-AP32-NG-LED is the same sleeve with a built-in LED. For the standard iPad 10th and 11th Gen use the RAM-GDS-SKIN-AP40-NG instead, and for the 12.9" and 13" iPads use the RAM-GDS-SKIN-AP47-NG.

FAQs

Do I need this to use an AP32 Tough-Dock?

Yes. The dock has no cable that plugs into the iPad; it charges through the pogo pads on this sleeve. No sleeve, no charge.

Will it fit the iPad Pro 11 with M4 or M5 chip?

No. RAM's compatibility list for this sleeve stops at the 4th Gen iPad Pro 11; the thinner M4 and M5 Pro models are not listed. Get in touch and we will point you at the right part.

I have a standard iPad 10th or 11th Gen, is this the right sleeve?

No, that one is the RAM-GDS-SKIN-AP40-NG. Both sleeves drop into the same AP32 Tough-Dock, so a mixed fleet of Airs and standard iPads can share docks.

Can I charge the iPad away from the vehicle?

Yes. Pop the cap off the USB-C port on the bottom of the sleeve and plug in as normal.
