RAM car phone mounts are designed to allow quick
unloading of your device, yet firmly secure it during operation. Most bases
allow for flexible adjustment for easier access to the device controls.
Need power on the move? The GDS range of powered docks includes locking
versions to keep that device safe and secure on the move and in the carpark! A GDS
Intelliskin is needed for the specific device and that then fits into the
cradle – when not in the cradle these protective cases reduce wear and tear and
enhance device longevity. The modern design allows for easy access to the
charging ports, volume and parameter buttons, and other features to provide a

So where do I start?
Most RAM complete mounts have three parts – Base – Arm - Cradle.
Ball size – the larger the diameter of the balls in the mounting
system the more load and vibration they can take. For most cars a 1” B Series will do just fine
but if you are in a commercial vehicle or heading off road then we would
suggest a 1.5” C Series mount. If that digger is heading into the forest, then
you might need a D (2.25”) or even E (3.38”) series mount.
Base – where in the vehicle do you want to mount the device? It
should not interfere with your vision, but suction cup mounts can fix to the
window glass in an unobtrusive position - ideal for phones and phablets. Heavier
devices may need double suction cup bases. Maybe you would prefer the device to
be a little lower – consider a Cup-Holder base. Perhaps you need the device in a permanent or
semi-permanent dashboard position – an adhesive or drill-down base might be the
solution. A Seat-Wedge fits neatly in
that space beside the seat and is simply and quickly removed – ideal if you are
using multiple / fleet vehicles. If you have a larger tablet you could consider
a passenger seat rail mount, the RAM POD – a few minutes with simple tools to fit
but stable and secure for larger devices right up to a laptop. Maybe it’s a large device and you can spare
the passenger seat – a Seat-Mate is simple to fit and as secure as it gets. Maybe there is a rail or roll bar that can be used for a Strap or U-Bolt mount? A magnetic base will attach to flat steel surfaces painted or not.
Arm – Short, medium or long?
Most mounts are available with any arm length so if it’s the right
set-up but the arm length is not what you need, consider making the set-up using
the component parts – or just
ask us for help! For B series arms the short length is 60mm, medium 94mm and long is 152mm overall length. For C series arms the short arm length is 89mm, medium 147mm
and long is 232mm overall.
Cradles – either device-specific (EZ-Roll-r or Form-Fit) or a universal
cradle. The hugely popular X-Grip comes
in various sizes – UN7 for smartphones, UN8 for 7-8” Tablets, UN9 for 9-10”
Tablets, UN10 for Phablets and UN11 for 12” Tablets. The Quick-Grip comes in 2 sizes – PD3 for
smartphones and PD4 for larger phones/phablets. The Finger-Grip is ideal for radios and
smaller phones. There are also systems
for Action Camera / Go Pro’s and for GPS devices including Garmin, Magellan and
Spot.

require and cannot find it on our site - try putting "-V" on the end
- e.g. the popular RAM-B-166-UN7U would be RAM-B-166-UN7U-V. That would
